About us
Weingut Schultheiß is a family-run winery in Gumbsheim, Rheinhessen, with a winemaking tradition dating back to 1690. We farm organically with a strong focus on healthy soils, biodiversity, and careful handwork in both vineyard and cellar, following the principle of doing as much as necessary and as little as possible. Our vineyards on calcareous loess soils are especially well suited to Riesling, Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder), and Chardonnay, which form the core of our work and reflect precision, balance, and ageing potential.
