The grapes of our Riesling Grauschiefer come from sites in the Maximiner Klosterlay, which are carefully picked by hand. After a short maceration and gentle pressing, they find their way into stainless steel barrels where controlled fermentation takes place. By specifically stopping fermentation in the semi-dry range, a Riesling with wonderful balance is created.
This wine seduces with a harmonious acidity and a natural, light sweetness, which combine with the pronounced minerality to create a real drinking experience. The olfactory palette ranges from juicy apricot to spicy clove, while the strong body and fine mineral saltiness, reminiscent of the slate rock of Klosterlay, caress the palate. A wine that promises pure joy of life with every sip.
