Weingut Sonnenberg is situated—true to its name—right on the Sonnenberg near Neuleiningen in the Palatinate, surrounded entirely by our own vineyards at an elevation of about 300 meters. The cool hillside climate, combined with strong sun exposure and the region’s limestone soils, shapes the delicate minerality and refreshing character that define every bottle of our wines. Because all our vineyards lie directly around our estate, we are able to work resource-efficiently and in harmony with nature.

Sustainability is not a trend for us, but a commitment: we avoid herbicides, foster biodiversity, and create habitats for insects—because nature is both the origin and the future of our wines. In both the vineyard and the cellar, Weingut Sonnenberg combines traditional craftsmanship with gentle, innovative techniques. Each grape variety—whether Riesling, the Burgundy family, Sauvignon Blanc or Gewürztraminer—is given the time it needs to fully express its character and sense of place.
